T5005
The T5005 model fits inside the towed vehicle. It is a compact system which weighs less than 8 pounds and is easy to handle.
It works exclusively on electricity. As soon as the RV driver applies the brake an electric signal is transmitted to the T5005 which activates the brake of the towed vehicle. This results in a gentle pressure on the brake pedal of the towed vehicle which leads to a smooth braking action.
If the driver of the RV increases the braking this action is then transmitted to the T5005 which in turn applies greater pressure on the brake pedal. The T5005 deactivates as soon as the pressure on the brake pedal of the RV is released. Should the two vehicles separate, the T5005 automatically engages thus bringing the towed vehicle to a full stop.
The system is also equipped with a timer so as to deactivate the brake of the towed vehicle during long braking periods. As soon as the brake of the RV is released the T5005 is reactivated.
