- Install the TANDEM brake at the front of vehicle in the tow fixtures insert the two safety pins.
- Remove the cable from its storage sleeve and insert it into the tube which is fixed to the brake, then attach the end of the cable ( the end part fitted with the brass terminal-- 0072 ) into the mobile part of the brake (the one that activates the brake.
- Attach the steel cable to the brake pedal of the towed vehicle .You need to press on it in order to attach it part 0070.
- Make sure that the steering wheel of the towed vehicle is unlocked and that the gear level is in neutral.
Maintenance
The end-user need to ensure that the TANDEM brake is properly maintained before each use .It is sufficient to grease the cam lever and to lubricate the arm of the cylinder ( see drawing C ).
Important Notice
Before leaving with your vehicle press at least 4 Times on the brake pedal of the towed vehicle in order to deactivate the power brake and make sure that the lights are off.
